by Volvo | May 2, 2023
•S60 Recharge is the top plug-in hybrid for safety
•XC60 impresses with luxury, safety and technology amenities
Two Volvo cars have been selected as Money.com's Best Autos of 2023 in their respective segments.
The Volvo S60 Recharge luxury compact sedan was named the Best Plug-in Hybrid Car of 2023 for Safety, while the XC60 compact SUV was picked for being the Best Luxury Crossover SUV of 2023 for Features.
The S60 is equipped with Volvo Cars' sophisticated Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensor platform – a modern active safety system that consists of an array of radars, cameras and ultrasonic sensors. This platform enables the development and deployment of active safety systems, such as the detection of other road users, automatic braking, and collision avoidance. Through the Pilot Assist function, it also allows for gentle driver support from standstill up to highway speeds.
The Volvo XC60 offers a full suite of design, safety and technology features. Whether it's the infotainment system featuring built-in Google apps and services, a calm and balanced cabin environment with a blend of high-end materials in a sophisticated Scandinavian design or an Advanced Air Cleaner system that prevents up to 95 percent of hazardous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin, it's no wonder the XC60 has historically been the Swedish automaker's most popular model.
