1963 Buick Special Series 4000 Navigation
The 1963 Buick Special was available with an overhead valve 198 CID V6 or an overhead valve 215 CID V8. Bodystyles included a convertible, 2- and 4-door sedan, or 6 or 8 passenger station wagon. Much of the brightwork was removed over the prior year's model. The wheelbase remained 112.1 inches but the length increased from 188.4 inches to 192.1 inches. A three-speed manual gearbox was standard. On the front of the car was a vertical bar grille and there were three metal ventiports on each front fender. The interior was done in either vinyl or cloth, except for the convertible body styles, which only were done in vinyl.
